SURE Fire Meetings - Global Learning Partners

 

Individuals and workplaces invest huge amounts of time, energy and resources in meetings. After taking this course, you’ll find that meetings become far more efficient, meaningful, and energizing. You’ll be more confident in how you plan and facilitate either in-person or virtual meetings. You’ll have a more acute sense of who to invite to a meeting, how to keep meetings on track, and how to balance structure with flexibility.

 

Throughout this course, you will explore a variety of practical tools and apply them to an upcoming meeting in your work. Here is a sample of what you will have achieved by the end of the course:

 

  • clarified and written meeting achievements

  • compared different participatory decision-making models

  • explored ways to advance a meeting before it begins

  • explored making meetings S.U.R.E. (Safe, Useful, Respectful & Engaging)

  • generated ideas to respond to challenging meeting situations.

Creating a Learning Centered Workplace through Effective Supervision, Meeting Design & Facilitation and Collaboration: One Day Workshop

Many small non-profit organizations work very hard to do as much as possible with limited resources. Operating with limited resources creates a situation where staff and leadership have to get as much as possible accomplished with as much effectiveness as possible. Using strategies and techniques to be efficient and effective can greatly increase an organization’s capacity and efficacy. Through active learning, practicing and applying skills, strategies and techniques to make supervision, meeting design & facilitation, and collaboration more effective; participants will have:

• Gained a visceral memory of a transformative learning experience.

• Developed confidence as a designer and facilitator of effective meetings.

• Applied Highlights of Successful Collaborations to their own situation.

• Clarified how the Elements of Effective Supervision can support the supervision process within their       organization.
